A few months ago I bought two sets of 2009 Proofs
Today for as I was going through my coin closet I came across a package, open it and pulled the first set out.I found this.

Have-You-Ever-Did-This

Then I pulled the second box out and found this.

Have-You-Ever-Did-This

I have learned something new today, open and look

Well no, but suggest you correct your thread heading for grammar.

Are you saying that you thought you had bought two FULL (18-piece) sets, but found out later that one only had the four pennies in it, and the other one was eight coins short?

If so, I feel really bad for you. Never-ever buy anything 'blind'; always check that everything is complete.

I can't even figure out what's wrong. Is there only one set?

Looks like three lenses were missing from the first set, and two lenses were empty on the second.

The first set may have been just what you have, as they did offer the cents alone as their own set.

Nope! If anything, I'm overly cautious. I received a box larger than expected for a single coin, but the box felt suspiciously light, so I recorded a video of me opening it.

Wow!! I would be UPSET...to put it mildly.

The 2009 Proof set is on my future purchase list so I gotta ask. Was this an ebay purchase?

Yeah, I looked AFTER giving positive feedback... I opened a 1999 set and discovered that it had the <deleted> quarters from the 2002 set... So I ended up with an incomplete 1999 and an extra set of 2002 quarters... Now my quarter silver proof set is incomplete...

Hm that's weird, that's a word I always use, even in polite company, didn't mean to ruffle feathers, wasn't trying to bypass filters; apologies

And coinfrog; I don't know if I 'take the cake'; I was a beginner, got burned, and learnt my lesson; there are definitely more expensive ways to learn said lesson

The 2009 P&D uncirculated copper cents are better imo but great find.
