Just found my first spitting horse error quarter. Appears to be a die crack (though not a very strong one) but it goes all the way to the rim which I don't think is showing up to well in my photos.

Just wanted to share.

Thanks guys, I have actually only seen a couple of them posted here on the forum since I joined at little over a year ago.

It's crazy, I am thinking like 1999 was just a couple of years ago but really 17 years ago - man does time go by fast. I guess I am older than I think I am - BUMMER :(

I haven't found one yet CC. I don't look at that many quarters. I just bought a Minnesota extra tree and I did get the Kisatchie extra claw and feathers in change though.

I just got this one in change yesterday. I remember when you found your extra claw quarter. Silly ones like these that get nicknamed are fun. I also got in change yesterday day the Alaska State Quarter - the Bear with the extra claw.
