Nice! This is from the 1983 Reichsstadt-Festtage (Imperial City Festival) in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bavaria, a medieval/Renaissance Faire type festival usually held in early September. Apparently they were made in pewter, silver, and gold, according to your case. (Wonder how many of the gold ones were made? Could Libavius have perhaps transmuted some of the silver or pewter ones into gold? ;)

Sparkasse Rothenburg is now Sparkasse Ansbach (Sparkasse = a German public savings bank, similar to the US savings & loan associations)

Libavius was city physician for Rothenburg in the late 1500s-early 1600s. Physician not just as in medical doctor, but more a combination of scientist, alchemist, physicist, doctor, pharmacist, etc. all rolled up into one. He was also, for a few years, superintendent of schools.
