Verizon is shutting down email services. If you are using one here, you must change it.

I have a Verizon cell phone, but never used the Verizon email. I access or get notifications from my other email services.

All,
Just to clarify, I have a Verizon Email and Verizon offers an option for you to KEEP your exact Verizon Email but move it to their new "AOL" Email service.
So, same old "verizon.net" email address as always.
Just now utilizing the AOL Mail infrastructure, which actually is MUCH better since it is an IMAP protocol as opposed to Verizons old POP protocol.
Verizon gives you an option to either keep your Verizon.net email by moving to AOL Mail, or you need to move to another Email service provider and would need an entirely new Email.
I have SO many things set to my verizon Email, I decided to just keep it, and so far, no issues at all since migrating.
Regards,
Michael

Well, you most likely won't get emails from here or other members. I get Verizon bounces every day. The entire AOL platform is BY FAR the worst on the planet still, doesn't matter what they've changed. 99% of new registrations never confirmed used to be AOL. Now they are split 50/50 with Verizon and that's not a coincidence.

In fact, I think today I'm just going to make so members cannot register with AOL or Verizon emails any more.

AOL?!

A blast from the past, and I thought they were ancient history.

Yeah, Verizon is getting the 1990s band back together...

They were going to rebrand as "Oath: A Verizon company", but I don't know what happened to that idea: https://www.engadget.com/2017/04/03...aol-as-oath/

I guess CNN says it will close next week (autoplay link): http://money.cnn.com/2017/06/08/tec...erizon-vote/

Note at the bottom of the article, the (Not Allowed) stake is staying with the rump Yahoo company which will be renamed.

Remember when AOL owned Time-Warner? How far the mighty have fallen. Somewhere, out there, Steve Case is laughing.

By the way, Steve, I have still not forgiven you for what you did to Quantum Link.
