I found this roll hunting. The reverse is pretty classic, but I can't find any markers so I don't know what die it is. I'm not sure about the obverse, it's hard for me to tell if Lincoln is reduced. I couldn't find it listed. Maybe MD?
Edit: Now that I see it on the big screen, the doubling on the coat doesn't look too good.

It would be a tough call without closer images to see if any markers match.

Thanks ya'll for your time. Coop I checked it against all six on CC for markers, couldn't find one that matched. The doubling is so similar among them, I guess I'll be satisfied knowing it's a DDR. Thanks Cwb, I like it too, and you're right, a couple of uglys to go with it. I'm glad the DD wasn't on some of the other coins in that roll. lol

The mark on the obverse is on a lot of the wheat cents. it looks like a trench around the bust.

What is left over after polishing is what you are seeing on the SE portion of the coat.

CM, do a close up of the ONE and compare that to the 1937P-1DR-002. I used your original photo and adjusted it to that area. That is what I was using for comparison. That doubling and extra thickness on the E in particular looked like a match.

Yes I was wondering about that Coop. So, the SE portion of the coat is from polishing. The neck and face areas look different and are found on a lot of Lincolns. I guess they come from the design itself and/or the engraver. The neck and beard is pretty squiggly. It must have been heavily outlined. It does give it an odd effect. It's all new to me, I've probably searched one penny for every 50 nickels. I appreciate it.
I appreciate your time too, CC. I think you are right and I will check that out, but the hours in this day are running short.

CC You were right, it is indeed the 002. You got me looking harder at it, I even noticed some of the marker concentric die scratches. they are tucked in the nook between the nose and upper lip - protected from time. They're actually visible in my last photo. Thank you mam.

So glad it worked out - you all have taught me well (even if it took an eternity to sink in)
