1988D looks like a d over d but I can't find a listing for anything past 1984. Any help appreciated . Thanks in advance .

I would like to see images this close of the date? That will show me if this is MD or an RPM. This looks pretty flat on the affected area. If the 88 looks like that as well, then it is MD. If one digit is affected then it still is MD. Usually RPMs enlarge the mint mark and make it a bit rounded. So I'm waiting for more images.

Looks like MD on the date. Note the bottoms of the '88'. It is in the same direction as the mint MD. Note the two bottom loops of the 8s'? The one closer to the mint mark is showing more MD than the other one. Not a RPM. sorry
