Not really worth the effort of taking photos of this one because of its condition, but I thought I would share with you anyway. Thanks for looking.

Thanks oldmike. We know the outcome of Lincoln's head wound, like you said, not good. Yours won't be long in coming, keep searching my friend.

Thanks CoinMasters, I just wish he would have stayed home instead of going to the theater.

Excellent idea Crazyb0, no telling what it would fetch. From some of the posts I've seen, there would be folks out there who would bid on it. My conscience wouldn't let me do it though.

I remember waking up the next morning and reading about it in the Town Cryer. "Lincoln Shot!" was the headline. We all just figured it was fake news until a couple days later when they actually told us he was dead. If I recall correctly, that's when the Secret Service was formed. At least he lived long enough to reunite the north and south. Between him, and Jefferson expanding us westward, we owe them a great deal. When we heard about the Louisiana Purchase, the Town Cryer wasn't even a newspaper, it was some guy that rode into town once a week and screamed out the news. I believe he was a descendant of that Revere boy.

I think the headwound may be a strike through. Just my 2 cents!

I agree. It is a hit to the head after the strike. The area below the left area of the base looks pushed out on the reverse.

So, would this be considered PMD or not?

Yes. Damage after the strike. Something poked in it on the obverse, and may have pushed out the reverse a little.
