Lucky Cuss - that's a beautiful specimen, and puts mine to shame, although mine does have a rim clip!
I picked mine up for the grand sum of five pence in a local Antique Shop (long since closed) in 1973. It was my first 18th-century English token! It looks better in hand than in the photos, but is a dark chocolate brown colour, and I had to adjust the photos to show more detail!


Deal is around 25 miles from where I live. It's a pleasant little seaside town. Here is the entrance to Deal Castle, built by King Henry VIII in the 16th century:
