Germany 1916 1 Pfennig - No Mintmark

numismatist6 Valued Member United States 360 Posts	Posted 04/10/2017 1:42 pm Found this coin. It has no evidence of a mintmark. All Krause listed varieties include mintmarks below to the left and right of the eagle's tail. The coin is well struck and I see no surface damage at the mintmark locations. Here's a microscope photo of that area. Any thoughts? This is an example of a mintmarked coin of this type: I found this rare 1916 coin several years ago and sold it to a German collector.
