found this coin and the thing looked like it has some thing on it by the date , then I turned it over to look at the back ,when I turned back to the front it was gone , been in a jar so long it picked up something from the coin it was on.

Looks like it was a lamination peel from another coin that was attached to your coin. Check to see if you can the foil like thickness of the lamination?

That's what I was thinking, that's why I asked about the spot.
If it was a another piece of metal stuck to it, I would think it would leave a mark.

How about a picture of it now that the piece is gone?

it was clean under it so threw it back in a jar of part silver and didn't see what happen to the spot that came off,it was like the carbonaro effect

So I guess it was on a silver coin. it must have been a Lam.
