I don't know what the oriental characters stand for but the first pic is a 1949 calendar listing the dates for Sundays with the first column 1-12 for the months. Could it have a religious significance?

It took me 7 years to figure out how to post the pictures !
Maybe there s an easy path to post them, but it takes me about 5 steps and two gin & tonics.

It's a Japanese calendar medal. One side gives the Sundays for all the months in the year (with which you can then determine all the other weekdays), while the other gives the dates of various national holidays.
