Wow. There's so much going on there but, I think it is all post-mint damage ( PMD). It looks like it is a vise-job (smashed against another coin in a vise, possibly a Westward Journey nickel?) combined with parking lot damage (being on the ground in a parking lot).

looks like other coins found here in NYS after a snowplow got them in the parking lot.
it has the typical drag area that thins out one side from dragging on the pavement like coins I find around here on my daily walks to the store ... snowman
