Hey guys I was interested in buying some Coin World Premier slabs. However, after reading a few older threads I have noticed some people complaining about their coins toning in these holders? The holders claim to be completely inert... I also saw that modern proof coins toned more than others. I am planning on storing some Morgans and would like them not to tone. Any input on this?

Also, planning on getting an Intercept Shield box to put my slabs in.

If the Coin World slabs are made out hard acrylic plastic, they will never hurt the coins that are contained in them.

That is the same material that all the major TPG slabbers use.

Very rarely, I guess that some coins may still be affected by the slabs being non airtight, but I have never heard of toning progressing with TPG slabs. Same applies with acrylic clip shut or screw shut capsules.

More important than the holder is the environment. I live in an area of the west that tends to be very dry and I store my collection in an area that has a stable year round temperature. I have essentially zero toning on my coins even though many of them are not in any sort of airtight container.

Coin World holders should be ok for the coin but keep them as dry as possible and keep the temperature steady.
