Would like your opinion of what is going on with the motto, IGWT. Any help would be appreciated.

Usually when the devices are thinned out like that it is from over polished dies. Maybe yes - maybe no - It reminded me of some of the DDR's I've seen. You'll have to wait for the experts to chime in.

Here is one example from Wexlers 1982 WDDR-002

The die abrasion removed a lot of the field in that area. So the wider part of the device was polished away. Here are a few more examples:

Always glad to help out. If you need to copy these for your educational files. Go ahead. If there are credit for someone else on the images, please leave the information as copyright laws want them there to show who took the images. (best to be safe than get in trouble)
