Hey BCG! I don't know what I'm seeing, have no ref for it , but do see an overdate perhaps? Looks in VERY good shape so imagine either you paid too much or you're a couple bucks richer!

I bought it hoping it was an FS-1301. It's not, but definitely looks like a large over small 3. The optimized pics here really water down the image, but the upper and lower curves are really crisp and well-defined in the original pics. My email is on now, and I'll be happy to send them to whoever would like a look. Also, CB, I posted a better pic of the '44D penny in the other forum. It got moved to the "Modern Error Coins" for some reason. Do you happen to know what year break separates modern from classic? They seem a tad touchy about mistakes here..

Quote: They seem a tad touchy about mistakes here.. Now why would you say that? Did someone yell at you? Send you a nasty email? Call you names? Or did we just fix it and send you a polite automated email to let you know where it was moved? The forum descriptions clearly explain what is what. Lincoln cents are considered modern because they are still being made today. Putting Lincoln cents in two different forums would be confusing and not make much sense in my opinion.

Bobby and the mods have to keep us in order and out of frivolous lawsuits! Here's what I'm seeing inside the three, somethings there, has appearance of a 2 or 3

The Mod Dudes of this forum are the only reason why this remains the best of all internet coin forums ... which you will hopefully learn if you spend enough time with us. David

B13, I think you just made my case for me :-). Having said that, This is an awesome source of information and I really appreciate all the work you guys put into it. Cbo, I'm leaning toward the 3, as the inside image and the lower curve closely resemble FS-1301; the big difference is mine has what appears to be the serif and beginning of the upper curve of an actual 3, rather than the horn. The actual pics look much better, but a lot is lost on the optimization. Back to B13, here's one for the suggestion box. I don't know what's involved, but if you could link the site to iCloud Drive, maybe we could load full sized images, or if not that, at least share them with other members the forum through a link.

@Biker Coin Guy It would help if you posted this image in the thread that you had previously started about this coin. You've got a few going, and I'm not sure which this one is supposed to update.

Druu, there are 2 different threads because these are 2 different coins. I'm convinced the other one is junk, but this is a whole different ballgame.

Is this a new coin? For a moment, I thought it was Monday and this was the coin with updates we were to expect on Monday. Comparing this to the images you had in the other thread, I'm still not seeing it as strong as the reference images. Maybe someone with more experience with the series will chime in.

Here's some date closeups that are only 136KB and 116KB. Both well under half the allowed size. When you start using links to images they almost always eventually disappear and the topics become worthless. Uploaded here, the don't go away and the topics will educate for years to come.

I guess anything is possible with the right camera. Here is a zoom of the date, and what should be a better picture of the whole obverse. I burned through the battery just trying to get a decent shot of the obverse, so no reverse pics yet.

Also Biker Coin Guy, I took 10 seconds and cropped your obverse pic in your last post and that simple step reduced the image size by 50%. I took 20 minutes yesterday and cropped almost all your images and saved almost 60MB on the disk and also people's data when they download them. 50% of our users are on mobile. That simple step will improve your pics and efficiency a lot.
