Some coins you get and/or collect are just novelties like the counter stamped one you have here. They are fun and may not be in the best condition but how you obtained it and the memory that goes with it is priceless.

I have a couple myself :)

I saw this at a show last month. I think the dealer was selling them for a dollar or something.

They can't go for much because if they did some folks would just have a punch made up and start making their own to sell. It was a privately made item and anyone can make more of them. If you round up a group of them and examine the Kennedy punch you will find that they are from multiple punches already. What's one more?

I can remember those being advertised in the back of magazines. If I remember right, you could send a quarter or so and they would send you one. I can remember taping a quarter to a cereal box cutout and mailing it off for various items. A postage stamp was only a nickle back then.

A nickel? That's outrageous! You should be able to mail a letter for Three Cents! Next thing you know, they'll want fifty cents for a shave and a haircut!
