Got my first two 2017 p tonight and this one has a roundish die crack with chips on the reverse. Since it is inside without touching the rim wouldn't that make it an inner die break?

Are you referring to the marking on the lapel? Can't tell what that is but looks to small for an IDB and I don't think I have even seen a random die chip in the area. Can you get a better pic of the obverse area in question.

I do like those chips on the back.

These LSC are so shiny how do you get such close nice pics without all the glare?

Coincents thanks for catching the fact that I was referring to the reverse I was so excited about getting my first 2017p's that I wasn't thinking lol. I use a dollar store led flashlight hanging at an angle from the coin and I went and bought a 10$ macro lense for my iPhone at wal mart so all together I have about 11$ in the setup (not including the iPhone 6+) I just change the distance on the light until the shine goes away.

Thanks, pretty simple. I have a couple of those little lights as well - nice and bright. I just don't have the iPhone - way out of my budget. I'll just keep making due with what I've got and unfortunately you all will suffer through it with me.

Thank you, I appreciate that PB.

I'll check at Wal-mart over the weekend and see what I can get then.

Just a bit of glare reduction and your images would be better.

Coop I had another 2017 that I had to put a piece of napkin over the light so it would diffuse and mute it somewhat. My next purchase is going to be a led desk style lamp so I can get more direct light instead of glancing light.

A piece of rice paper might be better. (the thinner the better) If you get something too thick, it will cut off too much light.

I will definitely try that coop those light are very bright and the napkin does cut it down a lot. Thanks for the advice.
