It is MD when the die moved a bit during/after the strike. Note how the NW edges of the mint mark are pushed a bit. You can barley see the metal striation lines on those two sides. That is what they look like when they are a bit stronger. They are caused by the edge of the die device alters that area. Kind of like when you rub a knife across some soft butter. You can see the metal striations from the edge on the area where you moved the knife.
