Hi
I had been down in the dumps for a couple of weeks and had no spare cash to get some rolls until today when the wife gave me $50 to go to the bank with. That in itself was new, lovely wife she is. Needing a few dates for nickels I spent the whole $50's on 25 rolls. All started well with several good dates appearing, four 2017D's were my first of the new year of any denomination. On cracking the 6th roll a real beauty came out and stood out like a sore thumb, never before after cracking thousands of rolls had I ever found one of these species, a 1935S Indian head nickel in a good VG condition with a nice clear date and mintmark. I know, nothing to write home about, but still a first. You all know that feeling when something good falls out and this was my day. What makes this all the more special is that I live on Vancouver Island,BC, Canada and I was cracking open Canadian nickels.

Sweet pick-up, but you gotta include some picks of your new prize!

Great finds but I am confused. You found a 2017 Canadian nickel with a Denver mint mark? I always hunt $25 boxes of pennies but my next box will be a nickel box.

I read it as finding a 2017-D US Nickel in a roll that was supposed to be 2017 Canadian nickels.
