I recently bought This large cent for $51 from 192157793166 and reluctantly paid for it after having gotten assurance from the seller that the mark to the right of the date is not a scratch, but rather, a die crack. What do you guys think in terms of grade, and whether that mark is a scratch? I may return it if it's not as described.

Return it. It's been harshly cleaned, and is not XF, as others have stated. I doubt it is a die crack, though maybe a lam error on the side?

I think you can buy a much nicer coin for $51.

In my opinion it is not a die crack. I see varieties with the obverse die crack across stars 2-4 and also reverse die crack around America and none have a die crack to the right of the date.

As I have told you, this is the N-15 variety, which is rated at R-3. On top of that, this is a pretty scarce die state of that variety, so you do have a premium that will probably mitigate the scratches.
I don't think it has been cleaned. I think the seller used too much direct light and possibly lightened the photos. It will look better in hand.
