1968-D Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC MD Or Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ?

Just speculating, but I don't think this would be MD since it's not affecting the date. I can't quite make out if there is a little bit of split serif showing next to that verdigris crystal on the top left of the D. My intuition is saying no, this isn't an RPM, but I unfortunately can't tell you exactly why other than it seems strange that a little D would be punched deeper over a large D. And it doesn't look like damage from a hit, either. Hmm. Report this Post to the Staff
