Hi,

Am hoping there are some 1921 P Morgan experts out there. I have spent many hours researching this coin and am drawing a blank. Lots of questions.
Please understand that I am almost blind and my camera recently broke, so these are all high res computer scans.

The coin was given to my Grandparents in the 1930's or 40's from owners of Libby Foods who were annual visitors to their resort. This was one of many tokens of appreciation they gave. My Grandparents were told that this and a 1923 Peace dollar they were also given were very special. Some other tokens were Eastlake furniture, Roycroft copper items, gold/gemstone jewelry and gone with the wind/tiffany lamps. My Grandparents saved everything they were given by these people and treasured it.

Tried to get the best scans I could and did lots of cropping for features I found unique.

I had to decrease brightness for details to show up. The coin is very brilliant and high detail. There are a few dings and scratches. Maybe more than a few scratches. I am having a tough time determining of these are Mold imperfections or scratches.

1. Would this be considered a D1 or D2? Read that the 17th berry sometimes appears as a dot and have seen other Morgan's listed as D1 with a dot similar to the one on mine.
2. I have not seen mention of small dentriles like I have pictured. Is this common? Dentiles just pass the N in United, to the D, are smaller than the rest.
3. Was unable to see a specific coin or VAM with the double striking that my coin has. Double striking evident on some letters and on the first 1 in 1921. Right inner side of O in One. Inner bottom and up left side of O in Dollar. Upper portion of bottom of L in Dollar. Upper left portion of T in United. Middle lower portion of S in States. Some shows on all letters of States. Top and outer left side of F in Of.
4. Arrow feathers meet branch at eagle's middle claw.
5. Upper arrowhead has scribbles.
6. I did not see any apparent mold scratches or dotting.
7. The word Liberty appears to be a light stamp compared to other Morgan's I have or have seen.

Would appreciate any opinions on if this anything special, or just a Morgan in very nice condition other than the scratches.
Thank you
