Did you note the date and the mint mark have the same thing going on in the same direction? That is an indicator that it is machine damage. Why? Because the die is hubbed and created separately from the mint mark punching. So to have them both in the same direction indicates the MD happened separate from the die and mint mark creations.
Also note the MD reduces the size of the mint mark and date. The coin has been cleaned to death, so it is just copper melt value for this coin.
