I get the icons on the smile list except for the . Does it have a special significance known only to CCF-ers, or is there some bit of pop-culture I seem to have missed?

You can customize your smilies using the "Edit Smile List" link under your smilies. The ones that you don't select can always be picked, you just have to click the "Show Entire Smile List" to select them.

I think it's a "behind the 8 ball" reference.
