Just had these two coins spat out of the self serve checkout at Woolies. I haven't paid much attention to any of the uncirculated commemoratives that have been coming out, so had to look up what they were.

I'm feeling pretty special that I had 2 come out, but this makes me question

1) what are the chances of having someone who wanted to spend these coins at WW and then me getting them out of the massive hopper they have in those machines or

2) What are the chances that too many of these coins were minted and couldn't be sold so they've been dumped into circulation? Despite the pic, they have no fingerprints and a very good shine, just look like they've been knocked about in a bag for a while. I'm going to go back down later and withdraw $0.80 and see what comes out.

Thoughts?

Nice find.
These are the coins that were released with the newspapers.
I think they were $3.00 each.

I noodled two of them last year, but I haven't found any more since then. When I first found them, I thought they were circulating coins I hadn't been told about, but then I realised they were just NCLT.

I have also got some during my noodling.
I've collected 9 of 14.

I thought they were new commemorative coins.
But they are NCLT coins.

I think they worth about $3 each.
