Hello Everyone,

I was inquiring what does MD Machine Doubling do to a coins grade? Is it based on the severity of the doubling are proofs graded more harshly on this issue? Thank you in advance for all advice..

Guess I will add to this question while I wait for someone to chime in .. for a proof coin to be graded as cameo how much contrast is needed.. for example if you have a reverse that is no doubt a cameo but the obverse has just the slightest amount of "frost" or contrast will that allow the coin to receive a cameo designation? Do they give star designations instead in this case if one side has a nice cameo but the other is just barely there?

Please disregard last statement.. found great videos on PCGS website about this .. however if anyone would care to help me with Proof Like grading that would be awesome.. Over the past several years I have been collecting bags of the S mint business strike national park quarters directly from the mint.. I want to go through them for high mint grades and proof likes .. I have seen examples but I am confused on what is required.. is it only to have shinny mirror like surfaces in the fields or does it need contrast with the devices.. most examples I have seen look to me like they are cameo? perhaps lighting I'm guessing that its a shiny vs mirror determination I need to make on these?
