Hey Everyone,

I found this one last night in a sealed proof set.. some of the lettering on reverse has parts of its design missing.. "C" and "A" in America are partially thin or gone.. is this a strike through grease or a filled die? Is there a difference? Or is it something else all together? I apologize in advance for the photos.. still working on the out of focus issue.. thanks everybody..

Odd on a proof set. My first thought was die wear, but don't see the typical signs of such. Grease filled maybe, but all devises in the close ups seem thinned out. Thanks, Doug.

Over polished filled die most likely, strange tho for proof, usually more observant on those.

Excellent.. thank you.. the left leg on the A is almost completely gone.. it is very thin and a sizeable piece of the bottom part of the C is gone..
