Looks like a crusty high-end piece with my first thought being Choice About Uncirculated. Seems to be some very slight high point rubs on the obverse so AU53 or 55 sounds fair. It's a nice looking piece that's been well preserved.

I cannot give AU grades above 50 to coins with no luster, toning or otherwise, so this to me is AU53 sharpness net AU50. There is only a bit of weakness on the right wing feathers and tops of both wings, a slight bit of wear on the clasp; the brow hair looks to be well defined.

That being said, it's extremely attractive and very original, and I would be delighted to own it.

Thanks MC, great site. Tried identifying and with the combination of toning and subtle variety markers could not attribute.
