Hi All..

A friend sent me a box (HUGE box!) of coins so I could help her identify them, and I've run into a wall with this one. I have found similar ones on the 'net but none with the lettering like this. Plus it's a really wierd grey color and is one of about 20 or so that were all thrown into a bag. It's not magnetic, is 1 1/8" across, weighs 6 grams and is really thin (~ 1/32").

Help is much appreciated, as always ;)

thanks

A reproduction of a Peruvian gold coin, I believe. Check this site for some examples of genuine ones.

Those look a lot closer than the ones on other sites I was looking at, thanks.

I saw some in silver, as well: http://www.newworldtreasures.com/cobs_potosi.htm - look at the bottom 2. They are somewhat similar, but a lot heavier.

Thanks a lot.. that knocks around 20 out of the pile to go through ;)
