I think this is a die cap strike, unknown year.

I am not sure if this 1980 penny is an acid job or a split/thin planchet, weight is 1.69 grams.

How did you manage to get those bags. Every bank I go to they say that they can NOT resell the bags.

That's why a box of good chocolates at XMAS time always help, obviously as the pics show you do need a special connection with the tellers, good luck

Some banks won't sell me pennies and some will. Its taken me a while to win over some tellers and John100 is right it just took a lot of nice asking. I try to not be a hassle for the tellers, many of them know I am collecting and some save interesting coins they come across for me. I was told by one manager that I am saving them work by taking them off their ledgers and saving them some shipping costs. I have 5 bank branches that I go to regularly, I have more luck with TD, Nova Scotia and no luck with ROYAL. The one bag on the left of the picture was all pre 1970. I also found five clips one of which was a nice double clip and one is a 1958D wheat clip, my first wheat clip. I can get about a box a week.
