So a couple of weeks ago I picked up an estate-sale Meghrig album for Lincoln Cents, starting with 1948-D, for $4.00. It was complete up to 1967, with some red BU coins and some that were full brown or RB, and a few XF-AU coins.

This album looked like it hasn't been touched since 1967 so today I pulled off the slides...

The good news is the obverses look like this (I picked a rougher example, that's a duplicate)

1966-LMC,-From-Old-Album,-Full-Toned-Reverse,-Need-Opinions!!

The bad? news is that the reverses look like this:

(unprocessed, with flash)

1966-LMC,-From-Old-Album,-Full-Toned-Reverse,-Need-Opinions!!

1966-LMC,-From-Old-Album,-Full-Toned-Reverse,-Need-Opinions!!

(auto-corrected)

1966-LMC,-From-Old-Album,-Full-Toned-Reverse,-Need-Opinions!!

(very enhanced contrast)

1966-LMC,-From-Old-Album,-Full-Toned-Reverse,-Need-Opinions!!

They have toned completely, with rainbow colors all around the rims, but at the expense of all of the luster.

My question is if these would therefore all grade as Environmental Damage. The obverse looks MS63RD to me for this example. But how does the reverse get graded when it is obviously UNC but has this type of complete toning?

This is the album, by the way.

1966-LMC,-From-Old-Album,-Full-Toned-Reverse,-Need-Opinions!!

Shame, very nice obverses but, I think they would grade as natural toning.

VERY NICE! Lucky you if all of them look like that. If they all look like the one you posted, that is Market Acceptable toning. There is no "environmental damage" (i.e. corrosion).

They do, in fact, all look like that, for the AU/UNC ones anyway, some of them have some crazy rainbow toning but the luster is compromised.

Unfortunately, the 1955 is not a DDO. :(
