"Nicely cleaned" coins have a market. That is, to those that prefer "shiny" to "dirty" or corroded and can't afford the prices some of those "high-price coin dealers" charge...(and don't care or know about resale value). There will always be those that like coins similar to these.
Well, at least they aren't holed, soldered, bent, scratched, cut, vandalized, worn flat, altered, or counterfeit.
OTOH, some numismatists might argue that these coins are not "nicely" cleaned, but rather "harshly" cleaned; basically the opposite of the term the seller is using. They might say that this is a misleading title or an improper description of the condition of these coins.
One person's "nice" is another person's "harsh". Where do you draw the line on adjectives used in
ebay listings? I've seen some very ugly coins described as beautiful; junk described as "a nice addition to any collection"; XF coins described as BU.
So are you shaking your head over the seller's description of "nicely cleaned", or over the fact that someone buys "nicely cleaned" coins?
