Ciao, what do you think of this a 5C 1871 (unfortunately holed.) with the weakness on the letter F of the legend?
It doesn't look like a post mint damage to me, but more probably a coin letter partially filled during the strike process.

Agree, grease clogged the serifs of the F so they didn't strike up.
