I say that because the way I have learned was draw an imaginary line (use a card, piece of paper, ect.) from the bottom of the 1 to the 0 and if the 7 falls below that line it is large date if the bottom of the 7 is level with that line it is a small date Report this Post to the Staff

I also just looked in "A Guide Book of Lincoln Cents" and it states "Two hub varieties were made this year .
