(Mods, not sure where this post should go, so if it is in the wrong spot, please feel free to move)

Over the last few years, I have been lucky enough to grow from collector, to casual reseller, to full time coin dealer... It is amazing to be in a position where your hobby becomes a career! In the last couple of years, I have had part time help, but this past spring, with a couple of massive collections purchased, my wife (correctly) decided my home office needed an annex, and we finally took the dive and got office space... With the new office space, we will finally be hiring our first full time employee!

While we are looking hire someone for more clerical/administrative duties, it would be an ideal job for a college student or someone who has an interest in numismatics...

So, if you happen to know of someone in Connecticut with an interest in coins, or a local college student looking for a summer job, here is a link to our job posting: https://www.indeed.com/cmp/Boardwal...c44505718e71

As much as I would love to, the LCS business model is not really viable any longer, with a few exceptions... With our specialty in world coins, we plan to keep focusing on the internet and up the number of shows we do... Our main focus right now is to catch up on ebay listings!

You are probably right about that. But off the top of my head, I'm not aware of a world coin shop in CT. Every one that I've visited so far are fully or very close to being fully engaged in domestic coinage. Best of luck in your venture!
Rest in Peace

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. The cost of running a brick and mortar store now is really a killer. Not only cost but security issues. You should be able to make a living buying and selling using the internet with much smaller overhead costs. Get to know local estate planners and bankers that can swing some deals your way when there is an estate to liquidate.
Don't forget retirees when it comes to a part time coin job. They have the knowledge and desire to stay active and are trust worthy.
Wishing you luck with your endeavor.
