Well this is my first post. I have been reading for a few weeks now and thought I should introduce myself. I have been collecting random coins over the years I have been in retail. I mainly do siver eagles and gold eagles but every know and then I pick up a modern coin. The first time I remember finding something cool was back in 1996. I worked for exxon pumping gas (remember its illegal to pump your own gas in Oregon, were I am from). A customer asked for 4 dollars in gas. I kindly did so. It was not weird for customers to ask for odd amounts of gas. After he paid, I counted the 4, 1 dollar bills. As I was getting ready to put the bills in the till, I noticed that there was blue stamping on the dollar bills instead of the normal green I see. I looked close and they were 4,1 dollar silver certificates. They were not in great condition but I thought that was cool. I still have them and will never let those go. I have also picked up random change over the years of beng in retail. Last year some guy gave me 2 1964 Kennedys when paying for a cup of joe. And the other day I was at Carls JR. getting a western cheeseburger and the lady gave me back my change, when I heard that sound that only silver makes. I check my change and there was a 1945 quarter. I have received a few silver dimes and a couple silver quarters over the years. Well thats my story. Be good
