Well, I didn't find any silver at all, but strangely enough, there were (6) 2002P and (1) 2002D that I pulled.
How does that happen? Don't large amounts of coins go into a hopper and get re-wrapped for distribution? And if so, how did I end up with so many not supposed to be found in circulation?
Just wonderin'

I have one more box to go through, maybe I'll have some luck on this one.

Eyeluvcoins, I went through a box a couple weeks ago and got 38-2006P and 34-2006D. It was a good box! Lots of keepers in it. Checked today with bank for another box but hasn't got in yet. Spin that wheel one more time. nlp

Sometimes the government decides there are already enough coins of a given denomination in circulation and there is no need to strike more. However they will strike some coins intended for the collector market (proof and mint sets, BU rolls, etc). This has happened a number of times with the Kennedy half, including 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.
