So I was coin roll hunting when I found a 1960 Swiss 1/2 Rappen which looks like silver. Turns out it is actually made of .835 silver.
So I wanted to start a post for people to post their foreign silver finds in the wild. Please try to keep this post alive.

In a box of dimes a couple of months ago, found a 1946 USA silver dime, and in the same box also found a 1963 Swiss 1/2Fr along with 3 Canadian Silver dimes.

I've found over 100 Canadian silvers in about six years, including a 1900 Victoria dime. My rate is roughly one silver Canadian per $700 searched. I've also found a few silver Canadian quarters including pocket change. I'm in Michigan.

I've found even older silver Canadian coins via dirtfishing, including a half-dozen early dimes (pre 1915) and an 1878 quarter.

As a Canadian Hunter, fistfulladirt. That makes me very jealous, but on the other hand I just found 2 Walking Liberties and 1 Large cent and 1 2 cent coin in the bank's junk bin.

@CanadianHunter - nice finds, wish the banks here would've had junk bins! Then again, it's been several years since I've been inside a bank.

Guys what is the most unexpected coin you will find in a bank.
So today I went to a bank and the teller keeps an eye out for me. She told me that a guy bought a bag of foreign coins and asked me if I want them. I said yes and boy were they special.
I have already put them in holders already.

Look at these beauties!

This sounds like fun...I have tons of Foreign Coins dating back to the 40's, only thing is I have to unearth them from storage. I really didn't know what to do with them so I put them away.. especially since coin dealers try to rip me off.
