Hi Guys, I have a Polar Medal, white ribbon with 2 clasps dated 1902-04 and 1907-09. These were presented to the crew of Scott and Shackeltons Antartic excursions. It has been in the family for many years and do not know when or where it came from. I can not see any marks or names on the rim but I am not sure what I should be looking for. Does anyone know anything about identifying these medals

You can try a facebook group called Medal Collecting. They are extremely knowledgeable, but sadly many of them are wowsers and view all outsiders as potential dealers, so whatever you do, don't ask for a value.

Whad did you find out about the medal. From what I read elsewhere it has potential value.
