Huh. Not the usual acronym when thinking of those letters. I bet they have fun with that

The diff is that counterfeit coins are not for sale, while counterfeit wrestling is the only thing on offer?

Like an idiot, I forgot that the show runs friday-sunday, not thursday-saturday. Therefore I won't be able to make it at all since I am off tomorrow (Thursday) and have to work all day Friday and Saturday, and Sunday's not even worth showing up there since it's a ghost town and all the dealers and NGC/ANACS leave on Saturday. Considering that I'm a TNA member, that's even worse of me to have done.
Kind of sucks because I was really looking forward to it since I have a lot of coins that need to get graded. Oh well, that's what next year is for.
I am thinking I might have to sell off part of my collection soon to help pay for surgery that I need to get done, so that's another thing on my horizon.

Oh yeah. TNA is a wrestling acronym too lol. I'm more of a WWF guy. Until the World Wildlife Fund had to stick their nose where it didn't belong

I might stop by on Sunday anyway just to check in. I did so last year and managed to snag a nice $2.5 Indian from a dealer who was about to leave.

Had fun, but have to say I was a little disappointed. There are two sets of shows here in NTX - between them, they happen 8 or 9 times a year. For some reason there is only partial dealer overlap between them. One is 60 or 70 tables, the other (which is dying) is 30-40. Those two sets of dealers made up most of the dealers at the show. A couple of dealers made the trip from LA or MS - that was new inventory. There were more foreign dealers than at the normal show and one EAC copper group - but those aren't things I'm interested in. So for me it was pretty much the same old inventory from the same old dealers. But hey, it was a day at a coin show. Can't beat that. A rainy day too. And I did finally beat a dealer down to my price on something I've looked at for the last four shows. And I found a ASE in a PCGS club holder at a decent price. Oh, and a trivially off-center quarter in change from the (over-priced) concession stand in my change at lunch.

I wish I would have known you were there. It was my 2nd coin show to have attended. IndianGoldEagle and I had a great time and found some good stuff. Since it was the 2nd show I have ever attended I don't have much to compare it to, but I thought it was great.

Like smoke1439 said, we had fun. Not the biggest show but with 225 tables it was a decent size with a good selection to choose from. We made the rounds three or four times and picked up some nice coins at a fair price.
