The Royal Mint is going to issue RMG's, a block chain currency to be used for the buying, and selling of gold that will be held in their vaults. I found the press release interesting, but I'm curious if any members here that are educated (certainly more then I am) in block chain technology, see this as possibly the British Government experimenting with the idea of a sovereign backed crypto-currency?

Most private owners of physical gold like to have it in their own possession, despite the security implications.
