I am on both counts guilty as charged! Here's an idea to spice up any dull family gatherings like your sullen nephew's birthday, the wisenheimer Father or brother at Christmastime. Take those pieces of trash, (not your relatives...necessarily,) our CRH leftovers as you will and convert, (not recycle or re-gift, far too progressive) really make use of those useless, empty coin boxes by doing this:

NESTING BOXES

Just make sure smallest is fully packed(Styrofoam peanuts are best) with that favorite worthless gift and taped with large amounts of packing tape and gift wrap. Continue on wrapping the final two boxes so they won't open in a tornado! Lastly, present to that special (?) someone in person, with a smile. They may not thank you but you can guaranty others will you with gratitude

You get a bag of halves, and put a bag of quarters, in it. A bag of dimes in that, a bag of nickels in that, then stuff the nickel bag with penny bags!

I think Crazyb0 and RoyCoinBoy are both practical jokers in and of themselves.

I like that idea. I just need to find the right nephew to use it on. Did something similar to a girl friend at Christmas. Three consecutively smaller boxes that contained pair of thick winter socks. She was reasonable mad when she got to the socks until her mother suggested she try them on and the amethyst earrings fell out.

I once saved all of my 1964 nickels and rolled them up in wrappers that I had "weathered" in my pocket and wrote "OLD / DO NOT SPEND" on.

Then spent them.
