In 2012, loonies and toonies began having extra security features included. However, I found out today that some exist in the "old" style, without the security features. I'll be looking for them in my change--but my question is, how many were actually produced? I'd like to get an idea of the proportions, but I couldn't find the numbers.

2,414,000 of the 2012 old style loonies were produced. Try doing a search for on this site for 2012 old style loon. You should find a thread with quite a few posts relating to this topic.
