Poll Question
If you collect half or variety and currently do not have a 1974-D DDO half, would you like to own one?

Poll Choices
 Absolutely got to have one.
Only if the price is right.
I would find one myself in roll-hunting or trade but not buying one
don't care much, yes or no.
No, it is not my cup of tea.

Hi,

The reality is that many are sitting in vaults waiting to be found. I have many examples that were found in rolls as do many folks who are roll searching hobbyists. It is not one that I would buy. I would just keep looking through as many rolls of halves as I could get to find one. That is the choice I clicked on in the poll. This is a fun question:-

Thanks,
Bill

I search 6 boxes per week plus many customer bank rolls (1-200) per week and I am yet to find one. I did find a nice 1973D DDO, though (the lesser-known cousin)!

Coppernickeldaddy:

Congrats on 1973D DDO! Cherrypicker's Guide says 1973D is rarer than 1974D.

But Let's say that if you keep the pace (6 boxes per week) for 10 more years and still have yet found one (just a hypothesis, of course I wish your best luck) would you buy one to own at that time? I personally feel that sometimes when I look for something for too long I may get very frustrated.

InfiniteInterest:

Congrats on your new mint set! You must be very happy!

foundinrolls:

I am glad that you liked the poll question. I agree with you that they are many sitting in the vault. However it can be elusive. Of-grampa found five within a month(another post) but coppernickeldaddy haven't found one yet at his impressive pace.
They both are living in D states.
