I couldn't find an Ottoman coin with that particular floral pattern just browsing through zeno.ru, but if it's not Ottoman it probably is from another Turkic state.

I'm definately not an expert, but the coin looks way too old to be called an "Ottoman coin".
I guess this is struck before 1299.

Besides, first coins of the Ottoman rulers have more complicated designs:

The design elements are more reminiscent of early Indian states era pieces rather than Middle-Eastern coins.

Thanks guys,for the input!

I received this reply from alan over at the "forum ancient coins" website.........

"It is an Ottoman copper manghir, struck in Edirne (Adrianople, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edirne). It is no O 173 in Olcer, 'The ornamental copper coinage of the Ottoman Empire'.

The obverse is just stylised decoration, but the reverse has the mint name in the lower half. Unfortunately these are undated, but I believe most are from the 17th century."

I have no idea what he means by "no O 173 in olcer",but there it is..

Hay that's a cool looking Ottoman Coin, I see them from time to time on ebay, I think the people that are selling them really don't know what there selling, If your coin is from Edirne Mint, then its a coin to hold on to.

I Found some coins that look exactly like yours on ebay here's the link, http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...sop=1&fsoo=1
