Picked this out of pocket change. Is this an error? If so, what kind? Any premium?

I see a finned rim,so it could be from a extra strong strike (tonnage)

You can also weigh it to rule out being struck on wrong stock or rolled thick planchet.
Rest in Peace

It indeed "looks" thick, but as John1 said, a thick strike will force the rim upwards because it is held within an outside collar, the metal will then be forced upwards. it does appear to be the case here, obverse rim is higher from the field, whereas reverse rim is normal. I would bet that the weight is the same as a normal dime.
