I don't have any answers but, I'm interested in seeing what others say. I assume it's a Zincoln. That's all I have.

Your coin was struck on a split planchet, you can see the metal grain on the reverse which is the split side. I would guess that it weights around 1.5-2 grams, very nice error

Planchet shenanigan's pre strike. Weight would be handy for future reference. I'm still looking for the thinnest and or lightest cent planchet coin ever struck. Thanks, Doug.

Nice find 52raymo. Was it a cr find or in change? I guess the date is whatever you want it to be lol.

I'm guessing 196X. I think I see a curl of a 6 after the 9.

52raymo: Nice to know exactly what it is, now get rid of that silly ICG slab! BTW, I learned years ago as a telephone tech from the "Best Salesman in the World" (his terms), that the key to explaining anything to the "uniformed" is to "Baffle them with bull***", did it work?
