The price was too good for me to pass up and he had a sticker price of $150 but I buy a lot of stuff there so he had it down for $120. And with some other coins I bought with it I can sell for profit to bring the price down to approx. $100 for it.

Okay now I have to question it. If that coin is genuine then it is worth $400 minimum. I can't imagine any coin store selling it for $100 or anywhere near $100. Why do you think they sold it for a small fraction of its value?

Well because my dealer sees damage and repair to it along with it already being a details coin. I have bought some questionable types of coins from him before and they all turned out good and on the flip side some coins he has told me are completely fake so I trust him on authenticity. I will still have to add some closer up photos of where he said damage was but haven't had time other than quick comments so far. Plus he said it was repaired pretty well but repaired nonetheless. The damage is the main reason for it being cheaper but then again also this dealer takes quite a chunk off of coins when it comes to details designations (for instance got a cleaned VF details Seated dollar for $200). IMO I am just partly lucky to have a good dealer nearby.

Might try to see if you can identify which variety it is http://seateddollarvarieties.com/1869.shtml

I can't say whether it's authentic or not.
