This is a dug 1828 Large Cent with typical environmental damage due to corrosion in the soil. It is the Large Narrow date but beyond that I cannot attribute its variety. One clue is a double die break found on the reverse. The largest is through STATES to OF and the smaller one is above that visible above the TES in STATES. Any guess on the N#? Thank you!

Large cent Varieties are not my thing... But interesting die cracks. Quite sad about all the damage to the coin

Looks like N-11, and those aren't die cracks they're corrosion artifacts.

Interesting...I never considered these to be corrosion artifacts. Is there a way to differentiate between those and die cracks as they have extremely similar characteristics? Thanks for furthering our education on this.

Well for one thing, no 1828 variety has die crackes like that or in that location even in late die stages.
