A bidding war is developing over this. Looks artificially toned to me:

The reverse is very appealing, but I am NOT a fan of the obverse.

100% bogus toning and/or juiced pictures. Note deliberate out of focus and the odd graininess. Seller's description is a riot (yellow with a pink center and tiger stripes!)

Looking at their history they mostly sell toys, with an occasional coin, and the coins are usually overgraded, such as XF-AU cleaned Barber dimes sold as Naer Gem/Gem Unc and a cleaned XF 1866 2 cents sold as Choice Unc.

I collected IHC for many years and have seen some spectacular displays. I believe this to be absolutely original and would be happy to own it.

Is toning more apt to happen on IHC proofs?

I think it is the pictures making the color look funky.

Proofs certainly show some remarkable colors, but regular issues do as well.
